Epidural injections are commonly utilized to manage pain from spinal stenosis, disc herniation, or degenerative disc disease.   These injections may be performed using an analgesic with or without steroid.  Epidural injections may be performed via three different approaches to access the epidural space -- caudal, interlaminar, or transforaminal.  These techniques are outlined via the tabs below.
 
Approval for epidural injections from insurance usually have certain requirements specific to each plan.
